-------- About CCCPR ----------

Climate change affects all components of the global environment system such as atmosphere, land, vegetation, etc. These components interact with each other and have effects in the  climate change by non-linear feedback processes.

However, there has been minimal study to predict and diagnose the effect/change in the global environment system. Especially, the feedback processes between macro and micro changes of environmental variables remains poorly understood.

Center for Climate/Environment Change Prediction Research(CCCPR) identified the macro-micro scale interactions and the feedback processes in the climate-environment system, which will be essential in developing integrated climate/ecosystem/environmental diagnosis and prediction system. In addition, the application of GIS(Geographic Information System) and RS(Remote Sensing) techniques systematically organizes the developed integrated system.


 Our research consists of three parts:




The current climate prediction systems have been separately forecasting individual component (ecosystem/climate/envirionment). However, our realization is that the components interact with each other, which has to be considered for reliable forecast of climate change.

Therefore, CCCPR finds way to differentiate existing prediction system.
